Your charming social side wins the favor of some towns while your harsh dread pirate vigilante side slays foes and holds other towns with an iron grip. Chances are, your identities will be revealed as one and the same, but you could use that to your advantage. A Vigilante is especially great for roleplay in this situation. You could be a loud and brawny Drunken Monk, or a Wildcat who is an unarmed master purely due to all the fighting they do. Order of the Dragon is a cavalier order that pledges to your fellow adventurers/pirates, and Order of the Cockatrice is a selfish order about being strong and better and famous. Lastly, because something seems TOO organized (Such as Cavalier Orders, Monks, or Vigilantes) there are generally options that make them fit into a lot of situations. An occultist could easily be a treasure hunter who's learned the uses of the relics they have stolen, but it's probably hard to channel spirits of the area in an ocean as a Medium. To fit this, I'd allow SOME occult classes, depending on the flavor. Barring that, you could even look into the other Pirates of the Carribean movies, which had levels of magic, curses, ghosts and undead pirates that scream for Pathfinder. This is a trip, and I wholly suggest that magic be an integral part of the campaign. u/theletchentai had mentioned "On Stranger Tides". A few more also offer options that turn them into Swashbucklers, Gunslingers, or Bards, which also fit pretty well, if you can get the right alignment for your adventure. If you do it right, Oracles, Witches, and Shaman can fit in pretty well, using a Coral or Sea Witch, or as an Oracle/Shaman with the right Revelations/Hexes and flavor.Ī lot of "Divine" classes also offer some options that have to deal with oceans and water, such as the Keeper of the Current. There's a large list, apart from the Rogues, Slayers, Swashbucklers, Gunslingers, Fighters, Barbarians, and Brawlers.įor casters, you've got some archetypes of bards and skalds, like the Dragon Skald and Buccaneer Bard.
